The ultra cheap car Nano from the house of Tata is always the talk of the town. The car went through a lot of trouble at the time of launch but every seemed to be worth as Nano received a fabulous response post launch. The car is in great demand by the people.
The excitement was not limited to the car manufacturer and the people but even the car dealers were on the high spirit as this was the time for them to make a good sales. The dealers in the vieil of excitement purchased nearly 2,000 and 10,000 application forms for Rs 250, which was available for the consumers for Rs 300.
But dealers excitement did not last long when only 30-35 percent of the total forms purchased were sold. The rest of the Nano forms are piled up with the dealers. As the total amount spent of these forms are pretty big, the dealers requested Tata to refund the money. The car manufacturers had had initially mentioned about ‘no refund’ for Nano forms.
But with continuous pressure and request from the dealers, finally the Tata agreed to refund the amount on unsold Nano forms.

The Indian car leader Maruti Suzuki seems to be in a chaos regarding it two models Maruti 800 and Maruti Omni. Some time back there was a buzz in the market that these two models would be discontinued by 2015. This led a few disappointments as both the models have a unique place in the Indian car industry.
Nothing has been confirmed by the car manufacturer about the phasing out of these models. But now there seem to be a twist in the story as the latest information is that the car manufacturers is planning to modify both the models so that are in compliance with the Bharat Stage 4 emission norms by 2010.
With the latest emission norms, both the models will shine again on the Indian roads and there is no genuine reason to phase them out. The company will definitely think of some way to attract its buyers and give a tough competition to world’s cheapest car Nano.

Nano is the creation of Ratan Tata that marks a new milestone in the history of global car market. Earlier many of the auto manufacturers questioned the veracity of the project but then when the Nano was finally launched everyone was amazed.
Now when the world’s cheapest car Tata Nano is launched in India, Tata Motors is making efforts to launch the car in international markets like Africa, South East Asia, Europe, U.S. and UK. The European version of the Nano has already been unveiled and is expected to roll out by 2011. But the American version will take another three years to roll out.
According to Ratan Tata the Nano has to be redesigned before launching it in the U.S. market. Some cosmetic changes and few additional features will mark the redesigning of the American Nano. And as it the safety and emission norms in U.S. are more stringent than the norms applicable in the Indian car market.
These small changes in the Nano will add extra cost along with the cost of shipping the Nano from Indian facility. Even with an increased price tag the American version of the Nano will definitely be one of the best small cars plying on American roads.

After all sorts of drawbacks, hurdles, and controversies, the most awaited car Tata Nano has finally launched in India. The car was unwrapped in the Gymkhana Club in Mumbai under the glory of sunset.
Nano is available in three variants, Standard (BS II and BS III), CX (BS II and BS III), and the LX (BS III).
Look at the car and you’ll feel as if it is running on three wheels. But that’s one of the indigenous designs by Tata Motors. The large bumper, stylish headlights, and impressive compact structure make the car look great. When you step into the interior, you’ll find all the basic amenities required in a car. And if in case you desire to have an air-conditioner and the music system you have to shell out extra amount from your pocket to buy the top-end variant of the new car.
Under the hood, the Nano is equipped with a 624cc engine that churns out 33 bhp delivering an overall fuel efficiency of 23.6 km/l. The engine is further mated to 4-speed manual transmission, front McPherson suspension, and rear independent coil spring suspension. The suspension and the massive ground clearance make the Nano the best city commuter.
However, there are certain drawbacks that may repel car buyers from the desire of buying the world’s cheapest car Tata Nano. You cannot open the rear tailgate of the car and if you wish to dump something in the boot space you have to fold the rear seat. At extremely high speeds for about more than 120 km/h it is said that the engine will automatically cut fuel. If you talk in terms of speed then this may be a drawback but where safety is concerned this feature is significant.
Still the Nano is worth the amount paid for the car. In future Ratan Tata may introduce new features to overcome these drawbacks and may raise the price tag as well. But that will make the ultra-cheap car Nano more competitive in this competitive car market.

Tata Nano is all ready to hit Indian roads and is simultaneously making inroads to the global car market. A European version of the Nano is to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
The European version of the Nano will be completely different from the Indian Nano. The two car markets vary in terms of safety and emission norms. And hence the manufacturer has to make some modifications to the Indian Nano so that it can well suit European conditions.
There are speculations that the Nano variant will have standard features like car audio system, a left-side wing mirror, air conditioner, and alloy wheels. And obviously this will further increase the price of the car. In Europe the car won’t fall in the 1 Lakh price bracket but will definitely win the hearts of people there due to its small structure, comparatively low price, and eco-friendly characteristics.
Tata gradually plans to increase the reach of Tata Nano across the lengths and breadths of the globe.

Ratan Tata, the chairman of Tata Motors, have finally blown the whistle on Singur. After a tough time of violence, protests and disaster in Singur, the company has decided to pull out the entire Nano operations from the plant and permanently shut down the project there.
The continuous confrontation and agitation at the site has constrained Tata to give a though on relocation of the Nano plant. It was assumed that temporary shift of the Tata Nano project will calm down the protests. But, unfortunately, there are no changes in the explosive situation even after five continuous days of work cancellation.
Now, the company is searching for another perfect alternative for establishing the Nano project plant. Ratan Tata is ready to jeopardize the made investment and invest more to establish the plant again. But it is not ready to continue the operations in Singur as the condition is becoming more and more hostile and intimidating.
Nothing can be said much on the fortune or misfortune of Nano. Yes, the production may suffer in due course of time but Tata will definitely cope up the loss. But, West Bengal will definitely face a setback. The state itself has invited misfortune.
