New SUV from Premier

Premier Automobiles Limited will be launching a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). Premier Auto is returning to the Indian automobile sector after nine long years. And the company is planning to make its comeback huge.

This compact SUV will mark the entry of Zotye Auto, a Chinese four-wheeler company, into the Indian automobile industry. And this is the first time that a Chinese automobile maker tying up with an Indian car manufacturer. Zotye will collaborate with Premier in the project.

Zotye Auto will provide vehicle kits to Premier that will be assembled at Premier’s Pune facility. Completely knocked down (CKD) kits from China will be imported to India by Zotye, for which it will be paid by Premier. And a diesel powerplant for the vehicle will be provided by Premier.

The SUV will be powered by a four-cylinder, 1.5Ldiesel engine that has a 5-speed manual gearbox. And the SUV will have rear-wheel drive.

Rio or Terra is the name options for this mini SUV. The base variant of the mini-SUV will be priced at Rs 5 lakh and the top-end variant is likely to be priced at around Rs 7 lakh.

Facelifted Ford Endeavour Launched

Ford has unveiled its SUV, throughout the country in a phased manner, with a new look. The new design elements in the car are chrome-accented lower grille combining with wraparound headlamps and new-look front design with a multi-bar chrome grille.

The new Ford Endeavour has a contemporary style and is in two variants namely the 2.5-liter (offered with 4×2) Duratorq TDCi and the 3.0-litre (offered with 4×4) Duratorq TDCi common-rail engines. The SUV has a 16-inch alloy wheel is fitted with 245/70r16 tyres are new. There are even added features in the side mirrors.

The new Endeavour is priced at Rs. 17.99 lakh for the 3.0-litre 4X4 automatic transmission and Rs. 15.99 lakh for the 2.5-litre 4X2 manual transmission variant (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi).

Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Diesel now in India

Toyota Land Cruiser petrol will be joined by Toyota Land Cruiser diesel, the moment car lovers in India has been waiting for. Toyota will launch Toyota Land Cruiser diesel in India on June 9th.  This launch, to some extent, shows the unshakable position of Toyoto, and at this point, it is very necessary for the company to show their strong base, together with many others who are doing the same.

The Powered Toyota Land Cruiser diesel will be available with a 4.5-litre V8 powered engine. Toyota Land Cruiser’s excellent off-road is due to its “ladder on chassis” .Toyota Land Cruiser is extremely spacious and seats seven. It has very cozy and luxurious interiors that are enough to make a traveler comfortable and happy. It is equipped with six-speed automatic gearbox and provides a full-time four wheel drive. For sport, normal, and comfort driving, Prado is proving different seating options.  Like many other SUVs, Toyota Land Cruiser Crawl Control options that helps in travelling through any kind of roads. Prado also offers food fuel efficiency.

The year 2009 appears to be very robust for the Indian automobile market. And Toyota Land Cruiser should be ready to compete with Audi Q5, Audi Q7, and Mercedes M-class in order to create a stable position. Toyota Land Cruiser will be price not more than Rs 50 Lakh and will be imported to India from Japan.

Ford Indian to Launch Upgraded Endeavour

The SUV segment is in great demand and the completion is too growing really high. Every car manufacturer to top up the position comes out with models enhanced with innovative technology and features. Foreseeing the success of the upcoming Toyota Fortuner, Ford India is introducing the facelifted Endeavour in the Indian car market.

The specification, price and the launch date is still under cover but its said that the new Endeavour would be powered by a CRDi engine with an output of 143bhp which will be a replacement of indirect injection engine (equipped in Endeavour). The engine will be supported by a new 5 speed automatic transmission system against the 5 speed gearbox for the existing model. It will be also seen with new chrome grille and redesigned headlights adding more charm to the SUV.

The interior and exterior too will undergo minor changes Endeavour is the perfect off roader that shines on the Indian roads and hope that upgraded Endeavour will add more figures in their sales graph.

Mitsubishi to Launch the Upgraded Version of Pajero

Mitsubishi Motors is a great car brand and so are the models. Every car rolled out from Mitsubishi’s stable is worth appreciation. In the SUV segment Pajero shines in the Indian car market and to further add charm to the SUV, the car manufacturer is thinking of launching the new version to the Indian car market. Just like Toyota Fortuner, even the Pajero is based on a truck called Triton.

Currently Mitsubishi Pajero for the Indian market is available with a2.8-litre diesel engine which is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. The new version will give an option of two diesel engines-3.2-litre engine with an output of 165 bhp and a 2.5-litre engine that delivers 140 bhp.

Coming to its new features it will be seen with all new aggressive front fascia, well designed cues and the strong body structure. The interior is also a complimented well which offers comfort, convenience, and luxury similar to that of striking looking Outlander.

The upgraded version of Pajero will come with a choice of two diesel engines which will be powered by a. The engine will be mated with the Triptonic-like INVECS-II automatic transmission. It also flaunts with super select four wheel drive system.

All New Audi Q7 by 2010

Very soon we will get to see the upgraded version of Q7 in the markets of India. Audi car brand has already set an impressing path with its models. Audi Q7 the striking SUV which is currently is seen on the Indian roads with a three engine options both in petrol and diesel version.

The car manufacturer to further add more charm to its SUV has modified the vehicle with minor changes like revamped grille and bumper, twisted lights with Audi’s Led technology and few features here and there that will be commendable.

The new version has already made its presence in the European markets and the Indian buyers will have to wait for some more time as the Indian allotment which is with the right hand drive will hit the market only by 2010.

For the European market the upgraded version will also have another variant where the 3.0-litre engine uses an AdBlue catalyst which is Euro VI compliance. But hold on Audi fans, this was just for the information but this variant will not be making the entry in the Indian car market.

Audi Q3 which is said to hit the European market by 2011 and will be seen on the Indian roads by either by 2011 end or by early 2012. Any ways the launch of Q3 is pretty confirmed for the Indian market.

It is said that with the launch of Q5, the SUV segment will see a new era of design.
