Unsatisfied Nano Customers Cancels the Car Booking

Posted by Carazoo on August 17, 2009

Customers are getting annoyed with the process of waiting for a long time for getting their Nano car delivered and because of this the customers one by one are cancelling the booking they have made on Nano cars.

The customers are not happy about the long wait for the Nano and the extremely disappointed customers have already started cancelling their bookings. The customers are also supposed to pay EMIs on the Nano even before it will be delivered to them, and this is a factor which is a reason why more and more customers are cancelling their bookings. Depending on the model they have ordered, the customers should pay the EMI from month after the car has been allotted to them. And this leaves them paying the EMI for the car even months before they actually get it.

Within 2010, Tata has promised to finish delivering one lakh Nano to its customers. Most of the customers who have got their allotment for 2010-2011 are those who are cancelling the booking. This will only affect the company and its Nano sales adversely if the trend continues.

Tata Nano at Singur plant celebrates Durga Puja

Posted by Carazoo on July 8, 2008

Despite of facing cost overrun, Tata Motors grand Nano project has still managed to maintain Rs one lakh carthat would be rolled out from its Singur plant by Durga Puja.

However due to heavy floods last year at Singur the entire project had been reworked at the plant site which has led to further cost increase. The project has already sunk due to the floods in Rs.2000 crore and now again there has been an investment of Rs.20 billion in Singur which was earlier projected at Rs. 17 billion. So there has been an additional investment of Rs. 3 billion.

Tata Motors has sincerely dedicated to the Singur project. Nano car would have rolled out from the plant during Durga puja if everything went well as planned. However the trial production is expected to start during July or August and the car is planned to hit the Indian roads in October. There has also been a huge response from international markets like US, Latin America and South East Asia looking for the possibility of a Nano plant being set up anywhere in those countries.

Tata Motors the car maker of the Rs 1 lakh Nano the cheapest car in India will be increasing its capacity to produce the model. There is a high demand than the expected in India and overseas car market but the company presently aims to meet the internal demands first and then meet overseas markets in the second pace.

 Tata Nano

The auto maker has planned to begin the production of its model by the last quarter of this year. Even the Mumbai-based company is seriously working on developing new variants of the 623-cc car, which was unveiled in January 2008. Small Chevy Again

Posted by Carazoo on March 18, 2008

After Chevy‘s Spark-ling success now it time for another small car of Chevrolet to shine. GM motors is expected to roll out their second small car in India very soon but it may not be under the brand name of Chevrolet.

Nano does not have to take any kind of precaution, as the proposed small car will not be competing directly with Tata Motors’ Nano but the price tag will be cheaper than GM’s current lowest priced car in India. The official announcement is yet to be done.

Nano has opened a way for the other car makers to think about rolling out the low cost cars in India. Currently about 7% of the total market share of GM’s global operations constitute the Asia-Pacific and is likely to go high with its huge potential in Indian car market.
The ‘winking’ car Spark was launched in 2007 carrying the price tag of Rs 3.10- 4.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).  The other cars that flaunts on the Indian roads are other products in the company’s portfolio include the U-VA, Aveo, SRV, Tavera, Optra and Captiva.

Super Nano

Posted by Carazoo on March 17, 2008

Dilip Chaabria, the style guru of Indian cars does spare any cars with out adding his creativity to it. He has created wonders with his creative ideas, for instance, DC’s Ambierod at the Auto Expo turned old and boring Ambassador into a total wannabe. The revamped Amby proved that with little creativity and hard work any thing can look so posh and cool.

And his next target was yet to be launched TataNano’. It is already a funky, small looking and he customized in such a way that more or less it looks like a spaceship.  Let me brief you on his creativity with Nano.

To start with, he groomed everything starting from gull wing doors, xenon and LED light panel, wider wheels and equipped with the fastest bike power engine of 1400cc called Hayabusa – power monster that will turn this cutie into a roller-coaster. Hayabusa is world’s fastest bike and you can imagine the power of Nano with this engine. The interiors were also loaded with next generation gadgets like a PC screen featuring internet, navigation, games and last but not least the customized instrumental panel glimmered to the screen.

I wonder will it be ever be on the road. But if it makes it will be the coolest car in town.
