It appears Renault’s joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra is going through hard times. The companies have now decided to sit down and decide what their future plans are. It seems the companies are now trying to find a solution for a problem that has been haunting them for long.
The companies have not yet come to a final decision. The most important problem that persists is the unsuccessful sales of Logan. Logan is the only car that has been launched of the joint venture between the two companies.
Let us hope that Renault will not take a decision that is not favourable for the company. At this phase when the Indian car market is in a growing stage Renault will continue its tenure in the country. And it is also expected that the company might come up with new launch plans.
Renault holds a 49 per cent stake and Mahindra & Mahindra 51 per cent. Anyways, in a few days time we will come to know the future plans of the companies.

Renault, the French carmaker seems to be having an unpleasant time. The company is having a tough phase in the Indian car market. The most adored model of the car manufacturer, which it is producing with a Mahindra & Mahindra partnership, Logan, does not seem to bring the car company enough booty. And now the company has launched a new Logan Play to boost its sale during the festival season.
The ultra-low cost (ULC) car project, which the company has planned with Bajaj Auto and the Renault-Nissan combine also, does not seem to have any progress. The information still available is that there is a long way to go before the car finally gets launched.
The company has announced its plans to build a compact car, which will share its platform with the Nissan compact car. And this sharing of platform by Renault is to save on the money spend on product development. This would be a great helping hand for Renault and let us hope that this generous act by Nissan will help Renault regain its lost glory in India.

The Indian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra and the French carmaker Renault is in a joint venture and they work for a single model, Logan. This pet project of theirs is now not showing them any signs of development and the sale of the car is now showing any improvement which is a serious issue that makes Mahindra and Renault think about alternative means for sustaining in the car market.
The company is not in a comfortable position, where the model that uses to get sold in thousands is just touching hundreds. The sales of this joint venture are depended on this single model and any small fall in sales will affect the future of the brand. Among the many plans that the company has to rescue itself from this critical situation is to re-launch the Logan with a new look and together that make ready the car for the new emission norms.
Both the partners will have to contribute for this new project but it is still not clear how much amount they have to invest for this cause.

Renault has planned to roll out a bootless Logan on Indian roads. This is no new car for the car market but the Renault Sandero that is soon to hit Indian roads with a big bang. It is known as a bootless Logan because the car manufacturer has designed the Sandero on the platform of Logan and looks much similar to a Logan without a boot.
The exterior of the car is adorned with expressive headlamps, stylish bumper, impressive grille, and seamless profile. In the interior the car is loaded with the state-of-art technologies and functional features.
Priced in the range of Rs 4 to Rs 5 Lakh the Sandero will compete with the Swift, Skoda Fabia, and the proposed Honda Jazz. Wow! I am so excited to check out how the sedan version of Swift looks like. I heard it is the exactly the copy of Swift hatchback with some unique and stylish features. Getting into the detailing, this four door sedan is stands on the platform, which is longer than the Swift hatchback-3.6 meter. The sedan carries the same ‘g’ series engine as Swift. Available in both petrol and diesel version, where the petrol has three variants- LXi, VXi, ZXi and two diesel variant-LDi and VDi. The petrol version is powered by 1.3L engine and the diesel version will get the 1.3 liter Multijet common rail diesel engine. Dzire does not follow the same rear design that of a Swift, it has been reworked giving it a total different look from the hatchback with beautifully designed taillights and perfectly placed fog lamps. The interiors are fabulous with comfortable seats, well furnished dashboard auto temperature control and the top end models also offer too with DIN stereo and also a separate set of allow wheels. Additional to the safety is enhanced with front ABS Antilock braking system and engine immobilizer as an anti-theft feature. The base model of Dzire will range from Rs 4.7 lakh; where as the top end will carry the price tag starting from Rs 6 lakh. Wonder how are the old players like Hyundai Accent, Ford Ikon, Chevrolet Aveo, and Logan gonnna take its new rival.
