Posted by Carazoo on January 13, 2009

Foreign car manufactures have a reason to smile this new year after the Indian Ministry of Commerce renewed its existing export policy. The new policy policy will allow the foreign car manufacturers to export new car to India from anywhere irrespective of its production location. The earlier policy strictly stated the car could be exported to India only from the country of production. But now the can be exported to India irrespective of its place of production.

The renewed the policy has made the export process much simpler and stress free. The policy is implemented only for the new cars with the free on value (f.o.b) value of Rs 1.9 million or more and also the engine capacity of more than 3,000cc for the petrol version and 2,500cc for the diesel version.

The prior policy was unfriendly in nature creating a lot of exporting problems. The new policy will now help the car manufacturers hailing from the inland countries.

Posted by Carazoo on November 10, 2008

Increase in fuel price and interest rate has made the car buyers think twice before investing in car. People are now looking for more fuel-efficient cars that will take away some burden from them.

Here is the good news for the car buyers; a group of students from RV College of Engineering (Bangalore) has developed a car that carries an amazing fuel economy. The car designed by a team of Mechanical Engineering students is an aerodynamic, tremendously lightweight prototype with a 97 cc generator engine and a very low 2bhp of power. The car is enhanced with an air-cooled engine with molten sized recumbent rear. Now with the best part is that the car delivers mileage of 180 Km per litre.

The car weighs 55 Kg and is a single-person car comes as a 10 feet long, 2.5 feet wide and high and has to be driven in a reclining position.

It is good to know that the younger generation is thinking of innovative ideas. And the saying “necessity is the mother of invention” perfectly suits this car!

Pay fine for listening to music

Posted by Carazoo on September 10, 2008

We have heard of ban on mobile phones while driving but you will be shocked to know that now there is ban on listening to music while driving in India. Very strange! Isn’t’ it? But it is true. According to Mumbai traffic cops listening to music will distract driver’s concentration and the chances of accidents are very high. Not just that, drivers found ‘guilty’ of listening to music will be charged with a fine of Rs 1000 for the first timers and Rs. 200 for the succeeding offence.

This rule is kind of bizarre. People listen to music to ease in traffic congestions and now even this freedom to relax is taken away from the ignorant traffic cops. This signifies the sign of ignorance. The authority should first think of some practical way to avoid traffic blocks and follow a disciplined traffic rules. By improving this will evade accidents.

If the cops think that music is a distraction then what about other stuffs like talking, eating etc…what they are going to do about it. Looks like one day they will come up with another rule that no passengers allowed as this can also distract the driver’s focus resulting in accidents.
