Honda Jazz an Expensive Small Car

Honda will be launching its premium hatchback Jazz in the Indian market by June 10th with the price tag of Rs 7 Lakh. After Nano now it’s Jazz which is hitting the headlines. Jazz is the first small car from Honda stable for India and looks like the car manufacturer is all set to foray the small car segment.

Jazz is the one of the expensive small car, first one being Fiat 500 which comes with the price tag of Rs 15 Lakh. Jazz which will be powered by a by a 1.2-liter engine would be tough competitor for its rivals like Skoda Fabia, Ford Fusion, Tata Indigo, Maruti D’Zire, and also the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ritz.

The Jazz engine is said to be developed especially for the Indian market. In contrast with other small cars, Jazz boasts with capacious interior and safety features like ABS, Honda’s G-CON technology, and airbags.

Honda Enjoys Civic Hybrid Sales in India

Honda Civic Hybrid, Indian first hybrid car experienced a great success in terms of sales.

Even during the time of inflation, this ‘hot’ model made a good sales figure. This ‘green car’ was introduced in India in June 2008 and since then it has sold over 50 cars in the domestic car market. The car has reached unexpected heights giving the manufacturer to reason to celebrate.

Most of the hybrid car customers are those who are nature love and are enthusiastic to uphold the ecological balance. Despite its expensive tag, the car was sold in good numbers. Even Toyota is planning the hybrid version of Prius for India. Let us hope that other car manufacturers too join the race, making our earth more greener and pollution free.

Much-Awaited Outlander Ready to be Launched

Mitsubishi is all-set to launch its the much-awaited Outlander SUV in India soon. Mitsubishi cars are well known for its remarkable offerings like the Lancer and the Dakar winning Pajero.

The car manufacturer is recognized for its attractive cars with amazing technologies. Outlander comes with compact exterior dimensions and spacious interior. It also comes with an array of features like LED tail lamps, satisfying interior, more legroom, 40/60 split seats, 50:50 four-wheel drive via a selector knob on the dashboard.

The SUV is motorized by a 2.4-litre MIVEC petrol engine that churns out 168 Bhp and a good 226 Nm of torque. Lastly, the Outlander is geared up to give a good competition to Honda CR-V and Chevrolet Captiva.

The SUV’s are again gaining popularity in India and a lot of manufacturers are launching SUV’s in the coming months.

Maruti Suzuki Geared Up to roll-out a New Car

One of the popular car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is now set to rollout an array of thriving cars in the Indian market. With everything set intact the only one thing the car manufacturer is in short is the D segment in line with the most recent sedans like Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Skoda Octavia.

Maruti is working on a car based on the Kizashi concept and this car is said to enter the Maruti’s D segment. The car will be priced around Rs. 10 lakh. The car will have some attractive features like LED lights, well shaped black glossy grille, and hard core bumper.

Currently the Kizashi based car is at the growing stage and the car is soon going to hit the Indian roads. The manufacture of this vicious looking car is projected to be rolled out from Maruti’s new plant in Manesar, Haryana.

The company has expanded its footpath apart from launching small cars. The high gear cars like Maruti Suzuki Swift and Maruti Suzuki SX4 have done wonders in the car market. So everyone are eagerly waiting for the launch of this exciting car from Maruti.

Honda’s Next Generation City by September

Honda City has been one of the most admired and largest selling mid-size sedan is coming out with its next generation. This exclusive car has made thriving place in the Indian car market. The new City-2008 is coming with a scoop of flashy features and is set to be launched by mid-September.

The New Honda City with a new version will be pricier than the current version and will be available in 3 to 4 variants at different price tags carrying different configurations.

The car will have brand features like Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), paddle shift gear option (where you don’t need to use the clutch pedal) on steering, multi-airbags, integrated music system with steering mounted controls, temperature control and electronically adjustable front seats.

However, the New City will be competing against the yet to be launched Hyundai Elantra, Fiat Linea and Toyota’s new Corolla.

Honda Civic Hybrid Thriving Excellent Sales in India

Hybrid cars are becoming popular in India. The recent launch of the Civic Hybrid by Honda Siel India has made outstanding sales and has also exceeded company’s expectations. The company has sold about 50 hybrid cars and mostly to the Honda car dealers and a small percentage to high net worth individuals.

The Civic Hybrid, which is Rs 10 lakh more over the petrol version of Civic, has made a remarkable place in the Indian car market. Currently the company is planning to sell around 200 units of its hybrid in the country.

Basically the car is imported from Japan as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). The car proves to be 47 % more fuel efficient when compared to the petrol version of Civic. The hybrid car bears a price tag of Rs 21.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

After the successive launch of the Civic Hybrid, now many of the car manufacturers are boosted up to launch their hybrid cars in India.

New Corolla Ready to Roll Out this September

Compact Cars to Come in India by 2010

Many car manufacturers are entering the small car market segment. The companies with big names like Maruti-Suzuki, Honda, Volkswagen, Fiat, Ford and Toyota which are anticipated to hit the car market restoring the record for as much as 75% of car sales by 2010.

In order to help the buyers the car manufacturers are offering bulky discounts to ease their existing stocks and for the easy entry of new cars in India.

The forthcoming new cars would have variants loaded with most advanced features like ABS, automatic drive, and airbags. These elite cars come in the range of Rs 3 lakh – Rs 5 lakh (excluding the Rs 1 lakh marvel Tata Nano).

Even Fiat Grande Punto is expected before the end of the year and Tata Motors is also ready to hit the Indian market with its new version of its Indica, which has been one of the popular cars in the market.
