BMW Quits F1

Posted by Carazoo on July 30, 2009

BMW is following Honda Motor Co., which announced, last December, that it would quit the premier racing series. In less than eight months time BMW is also quitting from F1.BMW has announced about its decision to be no more a part of F1 and it is confirmed that BMW would withdraw from Formula One by the end of the current season. If financial reasons, which included fall in sales and rise in yen, forced Honda to take such a decision, but for BMW it was some other factors which made them take the decision .

This decision from BMW was least expected. And for the management of Formula One also it is not be a welcoming news. Companies such as Renault or Toyota BMW may mat follow the path of BMW.

BMW was not comfortable with its situation in F1. The BMW team was behind Toyota and Ferrari. Credit Suisse withdrew from being its sponsor which worsened the matters for BMW.

BMW will no more be a part of F1 after this season which is unimaginable for many except for BMW as it knows it has taken the right decision.
