Toyota Yaris Makes it Way to India

Toyota badge is highly sought after in the domestic market and now the car manufacturer desires to make new car launches to have a higher share of the Indian car market. This desire has paved way for the launch of Toyota Yaris.
Toyota plans to launch both the hatch and sedan variant of the Yaris. The Yaris hatchback will come powered by three engine options comprising 67 bhp 1.0-litre engine, 86 bhp 1.3-litre VVTi petrol engine, and 89 bhp 1.4-litre D4-D diesel engine. And the sedan counterpart will come with an option of 86 bhp 1.3-litre petrol, 106 bhp 1.5-litre VVTi petrol, and 89 bhp 1.4-litre D4-D diesel engine.
The interior of the Toyota Yaris hatch will be luxurious with ample of legroom, headroom, and luggage space. In India it will compete with Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i10, and the proposed Honda Jazz as well as Fiat Grande Punto. The sedan sibling of the car will compete with Honda City and Toyota Corolla.
The Yaris hatch is expected to roll out in the price range of Rs 5.5 Lakh to Rs 7 Lakh whereas the sedan sibling will be rolled out in the range of Rs 7 Lakh to Rs 9 Lakh.

    Mahindra cars always gives competition to Toyota cars in India. Like Mahindra xylo has given a good competition to Innova. I think in the Sedan segment, Mahindra Renault Logan will always give competition to cars like Yaris
