Nano to be rolled out in Three Petrol Variants

Finally Nano ready to be launched by October end this year. The cheap car Nano is set to roll out with its three petrol variants in the Indian market and is named as standard, deluxe and luxury.

The luxury variant comes packed with a range of attractive features like HVAC, front and rear fog lamps, power window, central locking, tinted glasses, extended reflector, and instrument cluster with trip meter. It also has some existing features like body-colour bumper and door handles, door lock on the co-driver side, and slider with recliner, 3-spoke steering wheel and double stalk comb switch. The deluxe version will only have HVAC and tinted windows.

The basic variant will be priced at Rs 1 lakh. The deluxe and luxury variants will be priced an extra of Rs 20,000-30,000.

However the diesel variant of Nano will be launched next year and will also have three variants.

Mumbai to be a Design Hub for Renault’s Ultra Low-Cost Car

India is becoming popular for small cars and many car manufacturers are geared up to introduce small cars. Moreover, Renault is now set to launch low-cost cars. It has chosen India to offer a bigger role in designing and developing its ultra low-cost car.

The design hub will develop all its new products in Mumbai, the design centres across the world would work at it, and Paris would take a final call.

For the first time Renault is developing an ultra low-cost car in India. Mumbai’s design centre will provide the main design framework, with other design centers’ across the world providing smaller inputs for the ULC.

However, a team of 10-12 Indian designers is working on the small car project. The design centre is set to be inaugurated on September. Small and cheap cars are gaining a lot of popularity in the country and many car manufacturers have understood what Indians are looking for and are working for the same.

General Motors Ready to Start Face Book Community

General Motors is geared up and is soon to start with a facebook community. This initiative is taken to connect potential car buyers. It is a new marketing strategy and the reason behind is due to the increasing use of online media and social communities where a huge mass of people discuss and exchange their personal views.

However the company is set to start its own community and will target online marketing and other promotional activities. A dedicated team of expertise with good technical as well as internet knowledge will rule this plan.

It is also conceived that the digital medium has the best ROI (Return on Investment) for car manufacturers and GM wants to share a huge piece of the successful online channels. The best way to recognize how to spend sensibly is through ROI marketing and also get good returns on the marketing investment.

Already the company has tried it out with Chevrolet Captiva and it has been successful in making good sales by using this strategy.

Hyundai i-Series with Different Engines

Hyundai has started a trend of i-series in its line of car production. The first Hyundai i10 had a powerful and fuel-efficient engine but that was further replaced by kappa engine in the same car model. This new version is popularly known as Hyundai i-10 kappa.

Now, when the company is almost ready to roll out its next i-series, Hyundai i-20, the company plans to equip the car with more advanced engine technology. This new i-series will roll out with the latest generation U 2 diesel engine. It will be manufactured from the Hyundai’s facility in Chennai.

The U2 diesel engine is more efficient than the ones in original i-10 and i-10 kappa. This powerful engine is a 1,582 cc 4-cylinder engine that uses common rail diesel injection system, delivering128ps @ 4000rpm.

Hyundai i-20 with the advanced engine technology will definitely be a big hit in the Indian car market.

Indian Car Manufacturers Increase Export Targets

The value of Indian rupee has depreciated and many of the Indian car companies have revised export targets and are spying on new markets to push overseas car sales.

The rupee has decreased against the dollar in the beginning of the financial year from Rs 40 to Rs 46. Hyundai, which is India’s largest car exporter, is scheduling to revise its export target and is looking out for favorable currency rate and to enter into newer markets.

Currently Hyundai is exporting to 96 countries and is present in all major car markets. The rupee depreciation took place very recently and the company is still working out on its impact. It will also help the company for better export revenues.

Even Mahindra and Mahindra senses that the present scenario is good for exports. In addition, this is the best time for many of the car manufacturers to gain good profits. So many of the car manufacturers are geared up to find more new and small markets and make their company a remarkable one.

Government Helps Car manufacturers to Export Small Cars

The thirst of small cars is increasing tremendously in both the Indian market as well as global markets. Now the government is also lending a helping hand to the Indian car manufacturers by extending Focus Market Scheme (FMS) incentives. Here the automobiles are exported to targeted markets will get cash-incentives of up to 5%.

The worldwide market is likely to increase to 83 countries that will be covered under FMS. Basically, this scheme is set up to aid Indian car manufacturers to conquer a larger portion of the growing markets in Latin America, Africa and the CIS bloc and build India a global hub for small cars.

The new policy is taken up by the Government chiefly to help the manufacturers in gratifying the demands for smaller and fuel-efficient cars in the world markets.

India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki plans to tap the market with its most eagerly waiting hatchback, the A-Star. Whereas Hyundai plans to export its most popular i10 to the US.

Maruti Suzuki Geared Up to roll-out a New Car

One of the popular car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki is now set to rollout an array of thriving cars in the Indian market. With everything set intact the only one thing the car manufacturer is in short is the D segment in line with the most recent sedans like Volkswagen Jetta, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla and Skoda Octavia.

Maruti is working on a car based on the Kizashi concept and this car is said to enter the Maruti’s D segment. The car will be priced around Rs. 10 lakh. The car will have some attractive features like LED lights, well shaped black glossy grille, and hard core bumper.

Currently the Kizashi based car is at the growing stage and the car is soon going to hit the Indian roads. The manufacture of this vicious looking car is projected to be rolled out from Maruti’s new plant in Manesar, Haryana.

The company has expanded its footpath apart from launching small cars. The high gear cars like Maruti Suzuki Swift and Maruti Suzuki SX4 have done wonders in the car market. So everyone are eagerly waiting for the launch of this exciting car from Maruti.

A-Star Christens With Three Different Names

After so many successful launches, Maruti is well ahead of the rest in a race to capture the market.

For the first time in the Indian automobile industry is that a car made in India will be called by three different names in the global car market.

The car will be called as A-Star in India and the same car will be sold by Suzuki Motor Corporation in Europe as Alto. The third badge is absolutely a surprise that Maruti has signed a manufacturing agreement with Nissan Motors which is proclaimed to be sold in the name of Pixo by Nissan in the international market.

The A-Star comes with some standard features like airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic power steering and steering-mounted audio controls. The car will hit the Indian market in November and the global market early next year.

Suzuki’s Alto and Nissan’s Pixo will be pitted against Toyota Aygo in the global market. Whereas the same will offer good competition in small-car segment in India against Hyundai i10, Fiat Palio and Tata Motors Indica Vista.

Hyundai Rejoices 10 Years of Success In India

Hyundai has made a long and safe journey in Indian roads. The company has made a blast with its triumphant celebrations of its successful operations in India for 10 years.

Enchanted with its success the car manufacturer has announced several attractive schemes & promotions for all the existing and potential consumers of Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL). On the way to honor its decade safe journey in the country, a transcontinental Delhi to Paris drive was also flagged off.

Hyundai is rightly called as the second largest passenger car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter in the country.
