Highly priced

Posted by Carazoo on June 24, 2008

People were excited with the hybrid technology coming to India and India’s first hybrid car Honda Civic hybrid was launched last week but the excitement faded away when the price tag was turned. The car carries the price of Rs.21, 50,000, which is pretty high to afford.

The reason for the high price is said to be the import duty, as most of the car components are imported. This hybrid car attracts 110 percent of custom duty as the technology also demands higher tax. If the green cars are so expensive, people will not opt for it. Government should atleast work on the import duty so that the price burden will be reduced.

Convertible on luxury wheels

Posted by Carazoo on June 19, 2008

The name ‘Rolls Royce’ itself sounds so royal. Legendary luxury carmaker Rolls Royce’s latest creation, the Phantom Drop head Coupe in India is great. This super-luxury on wheels is designed on the lines of 100EX prototype got such rave reviews that Rolls Royce decided to put it into production. A spectacular 3-ton, 12-cylinder, four-seat mega-convertible gives more youthful appeal. The car has been designed taking inspiration from classic J-class racing yachts of the 1930s and this is immediately evident from the long bonnet, large rear teak deck and the white yacht type rear curved seats. The car is actually shorter than the regular Phantom which lends to improved handling and a more spirited drive.

So if you simply must put the prestige smack down on friends and neighbors, then this your car. Go ahead and make the difference…
